    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Primitive 3 Gallon Crock from Ohio.

     

    Circa 1870, this beauty features a Freehand "3" Capacity Number and a Large Artistic Floral Reminiscent of the Rochester, N.Y. Decorators.  Four leaves with accent stripes at the tips support a blossom with five large petals with inner accent stripes.  All the decoration is executed with a slip cup.  Measures 10 1/2" tall and 11" wide across the top. 

     

    Very Good Condition.  Two lines from the rim--2" in the back and 2 1/4" above the left handle that are not seen inside.  A few other scattered short surface lines apparently from the making.  No chips, hairlines, cracks, stains or restoration.
