    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1/2 Gallon Wax Sealer Canning Jar from Southwestern Pennsylvania.  

     

    Circa 1870, this beauty features a Tooled Rim with Groove for Pouring in the Hot Wax Sealant, Tapered Sides, and Three Cobalt Stripes.  A top and bottom straight stripe frame a wavy stripe in the middle.  Good contrast.  Stands 8 1/4" tall.  

     

    Very Good Condition.  Eight small chips around the inside of the rim (1/8" to 3/8") and a minor 1/8" nibble on the base.  No outer rim chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
