    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Wax Sealer Canning Jar from Southwestern Pennsylvania.  

     

    Circa 1870 this beauty features the Wax Sealer Form with Tooled Grooved Rim, Tapered Sides, and 6 Cobalt Stripes Down the Front.  Warm gray glaze providing a nice contrast with the stripes.  Stands 8" tall.

     

    Very Good Condition.  Small chips around the inside of the rim in the back, a minor 1/8" nibble on the base, and a surface line at the rim that becomes a nearly invisible glaze craze line straight down to near the base.  All surface and not shown inside.  No outer rim chips, cracks, stains, or restoration.
