Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1/2 Gallon Stoneware Jar from Baltimore, Maryland.
Circa 1870, this beauty features a Groove Tooled Rim for Ease of Tying a Cover Over the Top and Three Units of Brushed Comma Vining in Two Parts of Leaves and Leaves with a Dangling Clover. Rich, Shiny Cobalt. Stands 8 1/2" tall.
Excellent Condition. Three small contiguous nibbles on the rim (pinhead-size to 3/8"- closeup), and a very narrow 3/4" sliver chip on the bottom edge. No inner rim chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration. Faint surface craze lines from age.
