Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this unusual 2 Gallon Stoneware Jug with Thistle Decoration.  
 
I would attribute it to either New York or Central Pennsylvania.  
 
Crica 1870, this beauty features a Brushed Cobalt Thistle with Four Double Leaves and an Elaborate Blossom in Bright, Dark, and Shiny Cobalt.  Stands 13 1/2" tall.
 
Excellent Condition. A 1/4" chip on the right side of the spout and a 1/4" ping on the left side (closeup).  That's it!  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
