    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this gorgeous 1 Gallon Jug attributed to Central Pennsylvania.  It bears characteristics of stoneware from Lewistown, Harrisburg, and York Pennsylvania.  

     

    Circa 1870, this beauty features a Large Brushed Cobalt Tulip with Heart.  A stem with three leaves holds  up a blossom with seven petals.  The petals extending to the right gentlely hold a heart! (closeup).   The cobalt is rich and shiny.  Stands 10 3/4" tall.

     

    Excellent Condition.  Some light staining.  That's it!  No chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.  Any chip seen on the base is in the making and glazed over.
