    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Wax Sealer Canning  Jar from Southwestern Pennsylvania (probably Greensboro or New Geneva).

     

    Circa 1870, this beauty features a Flared Rim, Canted Sides, Three Bold Stripes Alternating from Straight to Wavy and Back Again, and a Trail of Cobalt Dots Down the Front.  Stands 10" tall.

     

    Very Good Condition.  A minor 3/16" flake inside the rim, two small chips outside the rim (3/8", 1/2"), and a 1" chip on the underside at the edge on the left side and a series of small chips on the bottom edge on the other side (closeup).  No hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  A 1" vertical firing line at the base in the making (closeup).
