    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 6 5/8" Stovepipe Wax Sealer Canning Jar.

     

    Circa 1870 and hailing from Southwestern Pennsylvania, this beauty features the Cylindrical Stovepipe Form with Wax Sealer Grooved Rim, and Three Brushed Cobalt Stripes on the Front that Alternate between Straight and Wavy.  Light gray glaze and dark cobalt stripes make for a strong contrast. 

     

    Very Good Condition.  A minor 1/8" nibble on the inner rim, a 3/8" chip inside the top rim, and some surface craze lines on the bottom of the left side (closeup).   No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
