Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Fancy 1 Gallon Harvest Jug.

Dating around 1880, this beauty was made by J.H. Waggoner & Co., Beaver County, Pennsylvania.  They operated around 1880.  This jug is pictured and identified as a Waggoner by Phil Schaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 138, 140.  I have included a picture from this book in this listing.

This beauty features a Roped Handle Poised on Leaves, the Filling and Drinking Spouts, an Applied Decoration of a Greek Goddess under one spout and a Cluster of Grapes under the other spout, and a Large Floral Blossom on Each Side.  Rich chocolate coloration.  Stands 12" tall.

Excellent Condition.  A tiny 3/16" flake inside the drinking spout.  That's it!  No other chips or any hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  Some roughness at the base from touching another piece in the kiln (closeup).
