Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1/2 Gallon Stoneware Wax Sealer Canning Jar made in Southwestern Pennsylvania (probably Greensboro).
 
Circa 1880, this beauty features a Detailed Leafy Sprig with 35 leaves.  This is an uncommon stencil for this region.  Light gray glaze for fine contrast with the decoration.  Stands 8 1/4" tall.
 
Excellent Condition. A few pinhead-size nibbles inside the rim and at the base.  Four small narrow chps on the base edge/underside (1/4" to 1").  Some very light scattered staining.  No outer rim chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
