    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Merchant Jug that reads, "Citro, The Thirst Quencher, Non-Acholic, 5 Cents."  

     

    This company was located in Brooklandwood, Spring County, Baltimore, Maryland.   Citro was a lemon drink. 

     

    The jug was made and stamped on the back heel by the "Sherwood Bros. Pottery, New Brighton, PA."

     

    Circa 1900, this beauty features a Two-Tone Glaze with the Company Advertising Boldly on the Front.  Notice that the advertising is shaped like a Lemon!  Stands 11 1/2" tall.

     

    Excellent Condition.  A minor 1/8" nibble on the right side shoulder, and some minor chips on the underside at the edge- some on the making. No spout chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
