    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this fantastic 4 Gallon Jug made and stamped by the "Cooperative Pottery Co., Lyons, N.Y."

     

    This pottery was formed by former employees of the Jacob Fisher pottery in Lyons after it closed and was only in operation from 1902 to 1904 or 1905 (William Ketchum, Jr., Potters and Potteries of New York State, 1650-1900 (pp. 367-368). 

     

    This beauty sports a Large Size, the Pottery Stamp on the Shoulder, and a Huge Fanciful Decoration with Plenty of Dots and Dashes that Fills the Front.  The decoration was applied with a slip cup in bright cobalt.  The jug has a strong visual impact and is the first thing you see when you walk into any room it occupies. Stands 16 3/4" tall. 

     

    Excellent Condition.  Some surface wear.  That's it!  No rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
