Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Jug made in and stamped "Cortland."
 
This is the work of Madison Woodruff who ran the pottery in Cortland, New York from 1849-1885 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 71).
 
This beauty sports the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Brushed Cobalt Garland Across the Front.  Stands 11" tall. 
 
Excellent Condition.  Three 3/16" chips on the spout.  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
