Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Cute 2 Quart Script Jug. 
 
This is the work of Madison Woodruff who ran the pottery in Cortland, New York from 1849-1885 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 71).  
 
This beauty sports the "2" Capacity Number with "Quarts" Below-- all in Script.  Stands 9" tall.    
 
Good Condition.  A narrow 1/2" chip on the top of the spout near the handle, three small flakes on the body, two horizontal lines in the handle near the base (closeup), and a wrench-shaped hairline on the underside.  No base chips, stains, or restoration.
