Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Jug made and stamped by "D. P. Shenfelder, Reading, PA." 
 
This is the work of Daniel Shenfelder who made pottery in Reading, Pennsylvania from approximately 1860-1900 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 24-26).
 
This beauty features the Pottery Stamp on the Shoulder and a Brushed Freehand Tulip Decoration. The tulip is the Shenfelder design of 12 base leaves and a blossom with 4 petals. Stands 11 3/4" tall.  
 
Very Good Condition.  A 1/2" chip on the left side of the spout, three 1" vertical firing lines at the base (closeup), and scattered light staining.  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
