    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Cream Pot.

     

    The decoration is distinctive of Daniel Shenfelder who made pottery in Reading, Pennsylvania from approximately 1860-1900 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 24-26).

     

    This beauty features a Cream Pot Form with Tooled Rim and Rounded Body, Pottery Stamp, and a Brushed Freehand Tulip Decoration. The tulip is the Shenfelder design of 5 base leaves and a blossom with 4 petals. Measures 7 1/4" tall and 8" wide across the top.

     

    Very Good Condition.  Two chips on the rim (1/4", 1") and some scattered light staining.  That's it!  No inner rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.  Two drying/firing lines on the rim in the making (closeup).
