Item 10106
Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Rare Miniature Crock made for the merchant, "David Kaufmann, 119 South Charles St., Baltimore, MD."
Kaufmann had this little crock made as a premium giveaway, perhaps for butter, maple cream, or some similar commodity.
Circa 1900 to 1920, this beauty features a Very Small Size (2"), Two Tone Glaze, and Three Lines of Petite Stenciled Blue Advertising. For being so small, the stenciling is complete and clear.
I see 50 miniature jugs for every 1 miniature crock and I have never seen this one before.
Excellent Condition. A minor pinhead-size nibble inside the rim and a pinprick-size nibble outside the rim on the opposing side. Otherwise as made.
