Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this very nice 4 Quart Batter Jug made and stamped by "E. W. Farrington, Elmira , N.Y."
 
This is the mark of E. Ward Farrington who ran the family's pottery under this stamp from 1887-1893 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 75).
 
This beauty sports the Pottery Stamp and Original Bail Handle.  Stands 8 1/2" tall.
 
Excellent Condition.  A 1/4" glaze flake on the rim and minor chipping/wear and two small chips (3/16") on the tip of the spout.  That's it!  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
