Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Unusual Wheel-Thrown Small Striped Jar .
I suspect it is from the Northeast and dates in the early 19th century. I features a Tooled Rim and Tooled Stripes on the Outside, Two Groups of Which are Highligted in Cobalt. Stands just 4 1/4" tall.
Very Good Condition. Two chips on the rim (3/16", 3/8"), two nibbles on the bottom two stripes, two surface lines at the base (1/4", 1") and some staining from use. No inner rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration. A kiln touch on the side in the making.
