Item 10617
Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this uncommon 2 Gallon Cream Pot made by "Eneix & Frankenberry, New Geneva, PA."
This is the work of James Eneix and Alpheus Frankenberry who joined forces to produce pottery in 1877, but the venture was shortlived, dissolving in 1879 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, p. 165).
Due to the short period of manufacturing, this mark is uncommon.
This pot features a Broad Rim, Rounded Sides, and the Company Advertising in an Arch Surrounding a Tulip in the Center, and a Large Capacity Number Flanked by Leaves at the Bottom. Measures 10 3/4" tall and 9 1/4" wide across the top.
Fair Condition. Four chips inside the rim (1/4"to 1/2"), two outside the rim (1/4", 1 1/4"), and one at the base (1/4"). Three hairlines from the rim: 5" on the left side, 4" on the right side, and 3" on the back. No stains or restoration.
