Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Jar whose distinctive decoration indicates that it was made by Enoch Burnett of Washington, D.C.
 
Burnett was the son-in-law of Henry Remmey Sr. of the Remmey Pottery Fame.  He potted in D.C. from c. 1846 to c. 1879.  (A. Brandt Zipp, "Washington, D. C. Stoneware." Antiques and Fine Art, Autumn 2010, pp. 202-203).
 
This beauty features a Tooled Rim with Groove for Tying a Cover Over the Topand Three Triple Brushed Cobalt Florals Around the Top.  The rich and shiny cobalt of the decoration contrasts nicely with the light gray glaze.  Stands 10 1/4" tall.
 
Exceptional Condition. As made.  No damage of any kind.  Slightly out of round on the top in the making.
