    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this tiny Stoneware Mini Jug that reads, "Souvenir, Excelsior Springs, Missouri."

     

    It was made by the Red Wing Stoneware Company of Red Wing, Minnesota (1906-1936).

     

    This jug came in four sizes, and this is the smallest 1/2 pint size. This piece is featured in Dan and Gail DePasquale and Larry Peterson, Red Wing Stoneware Encyclopedia, p. 208.

     

    Made about 1920, this beauty features 3 Lines of Stenciled Advertising. Stands 2 5/8" tall.

     

    Exceptional Condition.  As made.  No damage of any kind.  A small kiln touch on the back on the center ridge in the making.
