Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this 3 Gallon Crock made and stamped by "F. B. Norton Sons, Worcester, Mass."
This is the work of Frank Norton and his sons who made stoneware in Worcester using this stamp from 1868-1886 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, pp. 52-53).
This beauty features the pottery stamp with cobalt wash and a Dove on a Branch Decoration Executed with a Slip Cup. The dove has squiggle wing feathers and is perched on an elaborate branch. Measures 10 1/2" tall and 11" wide across the top.
Very Good Condition. Water glass rings inside and some staining near the base. No chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration. Many bubbles in the cobalt in the making.
