Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Larger 2 Gallon Stoneware Pitcher made and stamped by "F. T. Wright & Son, Taunton, Mass."
This is the mark of the Franklin T. Wright and his son who ran their pottery from 1866 to the 1870's (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 50).
This beauty features a Larger Size, Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Brushed Cobalt Stylized Floral Bouquet. You can see that the decorators for Wright and F. B. Norton were the same or interrelated. Stands 12" tall.
Good Condition. Some glaze loss inside at the bottom, wear and shallow chips inside the spout, a 3/4" chip on top of the rim on the left side, a 3" hairline from the rim in the back by the handle (closeup 1), and some glaze pitting on the bottom of the left side (closeup 2). No restoration.
