Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 3 Gallon Preserve Jar made and stamped by "Flack & Van Arsdale, Cornwall, Ont."
 
Flack & Van Arsdale of Cornwall, Ontario, Canada worked together from 1869-1907. 
 
Dating around 1875, this beauty features a Large and Wide Rim and Shoulder, Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Brushed Orchid Decoration.  The orchid is executed in a bright and shiny cobalt.  Stands 12 1/4" tall.
 
Very Good Condition.  Small chips around the inner seating ring where a lid would sit with a couple being larger (3/4") and some light staining in the back.  That's it!  No rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.  A stone ping by the leaf of the flower in the making.
 
Purchased from a barn near Jamestown, N.Y.
