    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Merchant Script Jug made for "Froehlich & Koehler, Newark, N.J."  

     

    It was most likely made by the Pfaltzgraff Pottery of York, Pennsylvania. 

     

    Circa 1890, this beauty features an Earlier Salt Glaze, and Large Size Fancy Script Advertising in Three Lines Executed in Cobalt.  Stands 14" tall.

     

    Very Good Condition.  Four chips on the spout (1/8" to 3/8") and some scattered light staining.  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
