Item 8662
Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 3 Gallon Crock made and stamped by the "Fulper Bros., Flemington, N. J."
This is the mark of George Fulper and his brothers who ran the family pottery under this arrangement from 1881-1898 (M. Lelyn Branin, The Early Makers of Handcrafted Earthenware and Stoneware in Central and Southern New Jersey, pp. 132-137).
This beauty features the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash and a Folky Bird on a Branch Decoration. The bird is much different from those used on later Fulper pottery with Bristol glaze. Measures 10 1/2" tall and 11" wide across the top.
Excellent Condition. Three nibbles on the rim (1/8" to 1/4") and two chips on the right handle (1/4", 1"). No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
