Item 11020
Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Little 1 Gallon Crock made and stamped by "G. W. Fulper and Bros., Flemington, N. J."
This is the mark of George Fulper and his brothers who ran the family pottery under this arrangement from 1881-1890 (see M. Lelyn Branin, The Early Makers of Handcrafted Earthenware and Stoneware in Central and Southern New Jersey, pp. 132-137).
This beauty features a Small Size, Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Brushed Cobalt Leaf with Dots. The floral was clearly made by a decorator from the Ottman Brothers Pottery of Fort Edward N.Y. as are other Fulper florals. Measures 7 1/4" tall and 8" wide across the top.
Very Good Condition. Three chips inside the rim (1/8", 1/8", 1/2"), and a 1/2" chip on the rim in the back. That's it! No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
