Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Jug made and stamped "Geddes, N.Y."
This crock was made in Geddes (Syracuse area) probably by Charles Hubbell and Dennison Chesebro (1867-87) (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 70).
This beauty features the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, Freehand Capacity Number "2", and a Tornado Drawn with a Single Pour of a Slip Cup. Stands 14" tall.
Very Good Condition. A 1 1/4" chip on the spout back by the handle, a 1/4" chip at the base, and some light staining from use. No hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
