Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Stoneware Pitcher in the Girl and Dog Pattern.
 
As you know, this pitcher typically in blue and white and blue and white spongeware.  However, occasionlly it was produced in this honey brown color (Taylor and Lowrance, Salt Glaze Stoneware, p. 42). 
 
Dating to the early 20th century, this beauty features an Oval Medallion on Each Side that Hosts a Young Girl on the Right Feeding Her Dog on the Left as He Rears up on His Hind Legs.  Stands 8 3/4" tall.
 
Excellent Condition.   A couple pinhead-size nibbles a 1/2" surface ping line inside the rim.  That's it!  No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  What looks like a chip near the bottom is a kiln touch in the making.
