Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this gorgeous 1 Gallon Cream Pot made and stamped by "H. B. Pfaltzgraff, York, PA ."
This is the mark of Henry Pfaltzgraff who ran the family pottery in York in the 1870's and 1880's (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners , pp. 50-52).
This pot was deascensioned from the Pfaltzgraff Museum in York, PA.
This beauty features the pottery stamp and a classic Pfaltzgraff Decoration: The Sideways Brushed Cobalt Chrysanthemum. The floral has 2 leaves and a blossom with 8 petals. All the cobalt is bright and beautiful., Measures 8" tall and wide across the top.
Good Condition. Five chips on the outside of the rim (1/4" to 7/8") and some staining from use. No inner rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
