Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Jug made and stamped by "H. B. Pfaltzgraff, York, PA ."
 
This is the mark of Henry Pfaltzgraff who ran the family pottery in York in the 1870's and 1880's (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners , pp. 50-52).
 
This beauty features the pottery stamp and a classic Pfaltzgraff Decoration: The Sideways Brushed Cobalt Tulip.  An early salt glazed example.  Stands 13" tall.
 
Excellent Condition.  Some light staining on the right side.  That's it!  No spout chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.  A 1 1/2" glazed firing line on the shoulder (closeup) and a kiln touch in the back in the making.
