    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Little Crock made for H.J. HEINZ CO., PITTSBURGH, U.S.A KEYSTONE PICKLING & PRESERVING WORKS.

     

    Made about 1900, this beauty was made by the Whites Pottery of Utica N.Y. It demonstrates the high degree of quality that Whites put into even the simpliest utilitarian stoneware.

     

    All the decoration is impressed and clear. The top and bottom borders are composed of hearts containing fleur de lis separated by bell flowers.  The center features a mediallion with the company name around the outside and a keystone inside representing the state of Pennsylvania. Measures 5 1/4" tall and 6 1/4" wide across the top.

     

    Very Good Condition.  A faint 4" hairline from the rim on the right side (closeup) and a 1/4" chip inside the footer.  No rim chips, cracks, stains, or restoration.
