    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 8" Wax Sealer Canning Jar Stenciled "Greensboro."  

     

    This is the work of Frank Hamilton and John Jones who worked in Greensboro, PA from 1865 to 1897 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 154-157). 

     

    Circa 1880, this beauty features the Simple "Greensboro" Address, "Propellor" Decoration, and Fancy Emblem.  Stands 8" tall. 

     

    Very Good Condition.  Small chips around the inner rim, a flat 1 1/2" chip on the rim on the right sie, and small nibbles under the bottom ring of the tooled rim.  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  Hot spots in the making.
