Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Stoneware Jug made by Hamilton and Jones, Greensboro, PA." 
 
This is the work of Frank Hamilton and John Jones who worked in Greensboro, PA from 1865 to 1897 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 154-157). 
 
Circa 1880, this beauty features a the Company Advertising Framed at the Top by Sheaves of Grain and Underscored by a Freehand 3 Capacity Number Flanked by Three Dashes and Itself Underscored by a Stripe.  Stands 14" tall.
 
Excellent Condition.  No chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
