Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Stoneware Cream Pot made by "Hamilton and Jones, Greensboro, PA."
This is the work of Frank Hamilton and John Jones who worked in Greensboro, Pennsylvania from 1865 to 1897 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 154-157).
Circa 1880, this beauty features a Top and Bottom Cobalt Stripe Framing the Company Advertising in an Arch around a 6-Pointed Star. Additional leaf accents in the corners of the advertising. Measures 8 1/4" tall and 8" wide across the top.
Excellent Condition. A 1" chip on the bottom edge on the left side. That's it! No rim chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration. Two kiln touches with a chips on the body in the making.
