    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this great 2 Gallon Stoneware Cream Pot made by "Hamilton and Jones, Greensboro, PA."

     

    This is the work of Frank Hamilton and John Jones who worked in Greensboro, Pennsylvania from 1865 to 1897 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 154-157).

     

    Circa 1880, this beauty features Two Top and One Bottom Stripe that Frame the Company Advertising Entwined in Vining in a Paisley Shape and the Capacity Number Flanked by 12 dashes.  Measures 10" tall and 9 1/2" wide across the top.

     

    Very Good Condition.  Minor nibbles and a 1/2" chip inside the rim, and two 2 1/2" hairlines from the rim- one to the right of the decoration and one in back (closeup).  No outer rim or base chips, cracks, or restoration.  The small chip on the rim on the right side is in the making and glazed over.
