Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Stoneware Jar made by Hamilton and Jones, Greensboro, PA." 
 
This is the work of Frank Hamilton and John Jones who worked in Greensboro, PA from 1865 to 1897 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 154-157). 
 
Circa 1880, this beauty features a Tooled Rim and the Company Advertising Surrounding Two Tulips and Accented with Leaves.  Bright cobalt on a light gray glaze for a pleasing contrast.  Stands 9 3/4" tall.  
 
Very Good Condition.  A 1" hairline on the back bottom that wraps under 2" (closeup).  No chips, cracks, stains, or restoration.
