    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Jar made by "Hamilton and Jones, Greensboro, PA ."

     

    This is the work of Frank Hamilton and John Jones who worked in Greensboro, PA from 1865 to 1897 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 154-157). 

     

    Circa 1880, this beauty features a Straight and Wavy Stripe at the Top and a Straight Stripe at the Bottom that frame the Capacity Number "2" Flanked by Tulips and the Company Advertising in Large Block Letters also Framed by Tulips.  Stands 11 3/4" tall. 

     

    Very Good Condition. A surface-only X on the top of the left side as shown.  That's it!  No chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  A indentation on the back in the making.
