Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 3 Gallon Crock made and stamped by the "Hart Bro's, Fulton, N.Y."
This is the stamp of Charles Addison Hart and his brother, Elwyn Erskine Hart, who ran the family pottery in Fulton with this stamp from 1878 until 1892 when it was destroyed by fire (see William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 75).
This beauty features the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash and a Large Lily Poised on a Stem! The lily has four leaves executed in brilliant cobalt. Measures 9 3/4" tall and 11 1/4" wide across the top.
Excellent Condition. Two faint surface Y-shaped crow's feet (closeup). That's it! No chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
