    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 6 Gallon Crock made and stamped by "Haxstun & Co., Fort Edward, N.Y."  

     

    This is the work of Andrew K. Haxstun who ran a pottery in Fort Edward from 1875 to 1882 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 68). 

     

    This beauty features a Large Size, Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Large Stylized Floral Bouquet.  The cobalt is bright and shiny.  Measures 13 1/2" tall and wide across the top.  

     

    Good Condition. Two chips inside the rim (1/4", 1"), and a curvying hairline to the right of the decoration that wraps under 3" (closeup).  No outer rim or base chips, stains, or restoration.
