Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 5 Gallon Crock made and stamped by "Haxstun & Co., Fort Edward, N.Y."  
 
This is the stamp of Andrew K. Haxstun and William and Gilbert Ottman who ran the company from 1867-1872 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 68).
 
This beauty features the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash and a Large Bird on a Branch Facing Left.  Large Crock, Large Bird.  Measures 12" tall and 12" wide across the top. 
 
Excellent Condition.  Some residual water glass staining inside.  That's it!  No chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration. A tiny 1/8" stone ping on the bird's breast in the making.
