Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Jug made and stamped by "Haxstun, Ottman & Co., Fort Edward, N.Y."
 
This is the stamp of Andrew K. Haxstun and William and Gilbert Ottman who ran the company from 1867-1872 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 68).
 
This beauty sports the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Freehand Bird on a Branch Decoration.  The decoration is a bit more detailed and whimsical than usual.  Stands 11 1/2" tall.
 
Excellent Condition.  A minor nibble and 1/4" chip on the spout, and two chips on the underside at the edge (1/4", 1/2").   That's it!  No hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
