Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Merchant Jar made for "Hedding Covalt, Bedford, PA."
 
Covalt had this jar made in Greensboro, PA by one of the Hamilton potteries. 
 
Dating around 1880, this beauty features Bold Top and Bottom Stripes that Frame Four Lines of Advertising with Floral Accents.  Stands 9 1/2" tall.
 
Very Good Condition.  A faint X hairline on the bottom.  No chips, cracks, stains, or restoration. A kiln touch on the right side and a stoneping and a horizontal line to its left that are surface only and in the making (closeup).
