Item 10564
Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this fantastic 1 1/2 Gallon Semi-Ovoid Jar with Garland of Tulips
The jar's form and decoration make it natural to attribute to David Parr who made stoneware in Baltimore, Maryland from 1815 to 1855 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 98).
This beauty features a Squared Rim, Applied Handles, and a Garland of 14 Tulips Around the Middle. The cobalt used is strong and shiny and forms a pleasing contrast with the light gray glaze. Stands 14 1/4" tall.
Excellent Condition. A 1/4" chip outside the rim, two 1/4" chips on the bottom edge, and a 1/2" surface chip on the back of one handle.
