    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this uncommon Stoneware Cream Pot made and stamped by "J. B. Magee."  

     

    This is the mark of John B. Magee (1813- c. 1890) who ran a pottery in Washington County, Valley of Virginia.  

     

    Circa 1875, this beauty features a Tooled Rim, Rounded Sides, Pottery and Capacity Stamp, and a Brushed Cobalt Flower on Each Side.  Measures 8" tall and 10 1/2" wide across the top. 

     

    Very Good Condition. Two chips on the rim (3/4", 1") and some surface wear from use.  No inner rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
