    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Pitcher made and stamped by "J. Burger, Jr., Rochester, N.Y."

     

    "This is the work of John Burger, Jr. who ran the pottery in Rochester from 1880-1890 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 74).

     

    This beauty features the Pottery Stamp and "1" Capacity Number within a Wreath Created with a Slip Cup.  Stands 10 3/8" tall. 

     

    Very Good Condition.  A 3/8" chip inside the rim, a shallow 1/2" flake on the top of the left side of the spout, and a 1/4" chip at the base.  No hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
