Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this most wonderful 2 Gallon Stoneware Merchant Jar made for "J. E. Wilkinson, Dealer in Dry Goods & Gen. Merchandise, Ravenswood, W. VA."
Circa 1880 and made in Southwestern Pennsylvania, this beauty features a Broad Cobalt Stripe Adorning the Tooled Rim, a Broad and Wavy Stripe Dressing the Shoulder, the Company Advertising in Crisp and Complete Lettering in Five Lines Displayed across the Body, and a Freehand Capacity Number Flanked by Leaves and Underscored by a Broad Stripe completing the Decoration at the Base. Strong contrast. Stands 11 1/2" tall.
Excellent Condition. Some light scattered staining. Otherwise, as made!
