Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 3 Gallon Stoneware Crock made and stamped by "J. Fisher, Lyons, N.Y."
This is the work of Jacob Fisher who ran the pottery in Lyons from 1872-1902 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 74).
This beauty features the Pottery Stamp, Freehand Capacity Number "3", and a Brushed Cobalt Floral Decoration. The floral has 9 leaves in bright cobalt. Measures 10 1/2" tall and 10 3/4" wide across the top.
Very Good Condition. Some fine water glass rings inside, five 1/4" flakes inside the rim, three 1/8" nibble outside the rim, and two shallow chips on the left handle (1/8", 1/4"). No base chips, hairlines, cracks, outer stains, or restoration.
