Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Stoneware Butter Crock made and stamped by "J. M. Harris, Easton, PA."   Harris made stoneware in Easton in the 1880's (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, 29-30).
 
This beauty sports a Semi-Rounded Rim, Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Brushed Cobalt Garland.  Measures 5 1/4" tall and 10" wide across the top. 
 
Excellent Condition. A 3/4" chip on the bottom of the left side, two small nibbles on the right handle (1/8". 1/4"), and some scattered light staining from use.  No rim chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
